404 on leiningen download (gitea)

I'm using the attached actions file, trying to run on a Linux runner. (I added installation of zstd, because I got complaints about missing zstd around my problem ...). When it comes to installing Leiningen, I get the following error, regardless if I run the runner from binary or via docker.

::debug::Failed to download from "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/technomancy/leiningen/2.9.1/bin/lein". Code(404) Message(Not Found)

The URL is perfectly fine though when trying to fetch either on my machine directly, or in a runner's docker container.

Any idea on how to solve this?

@datenimperator What version are you using? Most likely 404 is returned because of a wrong authentication header used to download lein executable. When this action is used outside of Github Actions context it might be set to a wrong value that cause Github to fail to respond. Please try to set github-token variable to explicit empty string:

@DeLaGuardo that works. FYI it worked unchanged before using act_runner locally, but did not on Gitea. The action could probably detect if it's running on non-github, could it?

I don't use gitea so I don't know it it is possible to detect the scope.

btw, using "no token" or annonymous github requests limits number of action executions you can do in some time range. This is a limitation comes from rate limits used by github. To completely avoid disruptions you could create api token on github and use it from gitea
